Licensing Act 2003 (UEFA European Football Championship Licensing Hours) Order 2024

We reported earlier this month that the Government was intending to extend licensing hours to 1am for pubs in England and Wales if either England or Scotland reach the semi-finals for final of the Euros taking place this summer.

The calling of the general election for 4^th July 2024 cast some doubt as to whether the proposed extensions would be able to proceed. However, fortunately, the Licensing Act 2003 (UEFA European Football Championship Licensing Hours) Order 2024 came into force on 25^th May 2024.
